All hospitals provide services according to national accreditation criteria and are audited twice a year. By law, the Ministry of Health is responsible for all procedures and coordination related to health tourism. The Ministry of Health has established a Department of Health Tourism and is working on the development of health tourism in Turkey, publishing books and organizing summits. The Ministry is building City Hospitals to increase bed capacity.
